FAQs

HOW LONG ARE THE SESSIONS AND HOW OFTEN WILL WE MEET?

Sessions last for 50 minutes and we will usually meet once a week. However, I can be flexible about frequency of sessions if required.

HOW LONG WILL WE/I NEED TO COME?

That will depend on you and why you are coming. We may agree to work together for a fixed number of sessions or we may decide to work in an open-ended way with no immediate end date. Either way, we will review progress regularly at agreed intervals.

WHAT ABOUT CONFIDENTIALITY?

I will respect your confidentiality. This means that I will not share information about you or what we discuss with any third party except in exceptional circumstances such as child protection.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

I offer a free initial half hour consultation. After that, sessions are £40 for individuals; £50 for couples. I offer some flexibility of fees for those on low incomes.
You can pay in cash, by cheque or via BACS. I will ask you to pay for any cancelled or missed sessions unless at least 24 hours notice is provided.

WHAT IS FAMILY CONSULTANCY?

As a Family Consultant I support individuals and couples going through the process of separation and divorce. I can help with emotional and communication difficulties which might be getting in the way. Family Consultants often work as part of a team alongside lawyers, mediators and other professionals.
